FUCK CANCER

Kelly LeMieux, bass player of Buckcherry, was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). We’re selling a t-shirt to raise funds for Kelly, check it out HERE.
After feeling ill on the road for several weeks, Kelly visited an urgent care facility on tour. They thought he had bronchitis and he was given antibiotics. Kelly returned home from tour a couple weeks later for a 6-day break. After still feeling the symptoms of the flu, he went in to get checked out again and to get blood work done. Three days later, on June 9th, Kelly was admitted to the Providence Portland Medical Center where he had a bone marrow biopsy and and began his first round of chemotherapy.
Kelly remained in the hospital receiving treatment for 26 days. Having now completed his second round of chemotherapy, Kelly’s blood counts are beginning to normalize and he has been declared in remission. Much more treatment and work is still to be done but we’re all very hopeful and thankful for the work of the doctors and nurses at Providence Portland Medical Center.
Fortunately, Kelly has medical insurance. However, his personal and medical bills are beginning to mount and we’re trying to do everything we can to help Kelly in this time. We’ve created this t-shirt to support Kelly and 100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to help Kelly with his bills. Thank you PledgeMusic for waiving their fee our merchandise company Bravado for printing a run of t-shirts for free so all of the money raised can be past thru.
FUCK CANCER.
– Buckcherry
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a fast-growing form of cancer of the blood and bone marrow.AML is the most common type of acute leukemia. It occurs when the bone marrow begins to make blasts, cells that have not yet completely matured. These blasts normally develop into white blood cells. However, in AML, these cells do not develop and are unable to ward off infections. In AML, the bone marrow may also make abnormal red blood cells and platelets. The number of these abnormal cells increases rapidly, and the abnormal (leukemia) cells begin to crowd out the normal white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets that the body needs. Read more.

There’s nothing to fear but fear it’s self . Everyday there coming up with new & faster working meds, with less side effects . I contracted the Hepatitis virus, witch required a treatment called interferon, it’s supposed to be harder on the system than kemo. Next thing I know ,the Italians discover a med they call harvoni I took one pill a day for 12 wk’s & I am now hep free. & the really cool thing is I had not one side effect from the harmonic. My thoughts and best wish’s are with you for a speedy recovery……….. Fuck cancer !!! Right on brother .
